MY FIRST BLOGGING JOURNEY AS A DIGITAL MARKETING STUDENT

Every professional journey has its own narrative, shaped by disruptions, experiences, and fresh starts. This blog is just the first step of my switch to the field of Digital Marketing — a field I have chosen with both rational thought and genuine passion. Through this space, I want to gradually unfold what I learn, how I grow, and what I experience as I reconstruct my professional life after a career break.

Despite holding a degree in Computer Science, my professional life did not follow a traditional or continuous path. After completing my graduation, I had a seven-year career gap during which I attended to some personal matters that demanded my complete focus. Taking a break from a professional career was not planned, yet this period gave me something invaluable — time for deep thinking and honest self-assessment.

I slowly came to the realization that Computer Science was a mismatch for my long-term goals and personal interests. While I have great respect for the IT industry as a strong and rewarding field, I am convinced that the most fulfilling career is the one that aligns with a person's skills and passions. This revelation gave me the strength to let go of the notion that my academic background had to define my career path.

Even during my break, I stayed connected to the digital world. I noticed how e-commerce was exploding, how creative visuals were proving powerfully effective at engaging audiences, and how a strong digital presence was becoming increasingly critical for businesses. These observations ignited in me a deep curiosity to explore the art and craft of the digital space.I soon discovered digital marketing — a field sitting beautifully at the intersection of creativity, communication, and strategy. Core elements like understanding target audiences, crafting compelling content, and building a strong online presence truly resonate with my strengths and passions. This is exactly why I chose it as my new direction.

To gain both professional knowledge and hands-on experience, I enrolled at Codebrucke Academy — widely regarded as the best digital marketing academy in Calicut — where I am currently pursuing a comprehensive Digital Marketing course. This blog is where I document both my personal and professional journey. As a digital marketing student, I see blogging not just as a diary of my learning experiences, but also as a practical tool for developing my content creation and communication skills — and for building a professional digital presence that reflects my career aspirations. Blogging is itself a core component of digital marketing, and maintaining this platform gives me the opportunity to apply my knowledge in a real, meaningful way.

Returning to a career after a long break requires patience, self-confidence, and perseverance. I know there will be challenges ahead, but I am ready to keep learning and keep growing.
